FIB is building a Gigafactory in Teverola for the production of cells, modules, and battery packs for Electric Vehicles, Energy Storage, Industrial, and Special applications.
In joining us you will take part in a very strategic project for the European lithium battery value chain.
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer with experience in the design for manufacturing, product and equipment prototyping, technology selection, equipment design and installation, process optimization and improvement, and industrialization of current and new product in the li-on cell world.
We are looking for a dynamic, passionate, purpose-drive professional who wants to help us in the deployment of one of the most important projects in Europe.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing feedbacks for cell design activities on product feasibility, design for manufacturing and equipment costraints
- Providing improvements and optimization strategies for products and equipment performances
- Strong focus on mass production concept
- Envision and help the development of the strategy to achieve mass production of a range of battery cell technologies, including the execution of Teverola 1 activities and the technological development – and activities, upon completion - of Teverola 2.
- Manage technology risks and opportunities, establish and maintain quality management, budgeting and cost control for the technology organization related to equipment and manufacturing of li-on cells.

- Willingness to work in a new context with a clear development project, including the hire of more than 675 people in the next 2 years

Requirements
- Degree in Electrochemical or Chemical Engineering
- Team leadership
- Strong management structure
- Experience in battery companies already running a li-on cell plant is a STRONG PLUS
- Strong technical competencies in li-on cells, in particular with LFP/LMFP cells
- Experience with water-based production processes is a STRONG PLUS
- Experience in soft pouch and prismatic cells is a PLUS
- Fluency in English is a MUST
- Italian language is not required
- Ability to work under pressure, with flexibility and to manage tight deadlines
