In recent weeks, the FAAM Recycling team — led by Dr. Carmen Cavallo and including Valeria Caronna, Davide Ruzza, and Mariacristina Colantuono — took part in the First Review Meeting of the European project AutoMat – Retrieve. Recycle. Recharge., held in Modugno (Bari). This meeting marked a key halfway milestone for the consortium.
Together with partners from academia, industry, and institutions, the consortium presented the progress achieved so far, reviewed key deliverables and KPIs, and received valuable feedback from the Project Officer and Reviewer. The meeting also included a visit to Masmec’s laboratories, showcasing the first phase of Pilot 1.
For FAAM, being part of this project means contributing its scientific expertise to accelerate innovation and circularity across the European battery value chain, reinforcing Europe’s leadership in energy storage.
