FAAM is building a Gigafactory in Teverola for the production of cells, modules, and battery packs for Electric Vehicle, Energy Storage, Industrial, and Special applications.

In joining us you will take part in a very strategic project for the European lithium battery value chain.

We are looking for an experienced Metrology Engineer – Chemical/Electrochemical for our Quality team located in Teverola, Caserta, Italy with a strong ability to develop technical expertise, and ensure timely development and deployment of quality control methods related to battery cells and systems.

We are looking for a dynamic, passionate, purpose-drive professional who wants to help us in the deployment of one of the most important projects in Europe.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead/Support the selection, purchase, validation, installation, deployment and maintenance of chemical/electrochemical metrology tools;
  • Ensure timely development and deployment of quality control methods.
  • Perform Risk analysis, procedures and deliver Work instructions for Quality control tools and methods.
  • Develop and deploy training of Quality control tools and methods.
  • Ensure timely compliance to Measurement system analysis (MSA).
  • Perform measurement and analyze results and reports.
  • Benchmark and evaluate new metrology techniques and tools with internal and external parties.
  • Lead Quality improvement plan to optimize quality methods (e.g. Reliability, Cost, Cycle time).
  • Support cross-functionally problem-solving activities.
  • Develop measurement technical expertise and generate and transfer Lesson learned

 

Requirements

  • Degree Chemical/Electrochemical engineering.
  • At least 3/6 years experience in Quality control methods and tools (e.g. XRF, XRD, Electron microscopy, ICP MS/AES, Karl Fisher, GC-MS).
  • Experience in a battery company is a STRONG PLUS.
  • Experience in ISO 17025 standard is a PLUS.
  • Fluency in English (oral and written) is a MUST.
  • Fluency in Italian (oral and written) is a STRONG PLUS.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with flexibility and to manage tight deadlines.
