At our Teverola 1 plant, the first lithium-ion cell production facility in Italy, we manufacture pouch cells that are then assembled into modules and battery packs of our own design.
What's a pouch cell?
In the pouch battery, the main components of cathode, anode, separator and electrolyte are stacked.
The main advantages of this shape are its high density and light weight, which make it perfect and customisable in different formats for different applications (storage, electric vehicles, consumer products).
